YASMIN & SARAH

It has been about a month since Yasmin & Sarah at 'loggerheads'. They will be friends in a minute and 'enemies' the next moment. Each time when they meet...they will tend to quarell over 'trial' matters. Be it on toys, foods, music etc....

Sarah hates it when anybody' especially' Yasmin to be near her parents! She will start to scream, yell and even push Yasmin away...but Yasmin...being known of her 'slumberness' refused to go away. She will stay put and very soon Sarah becomes 'dramatic' hee hee...

It is really cute to see these kids squabbling...showing funny faces! They can be angry at each other but it will last only in minutes before they become friends again!

My father in law even suggested us to feed both kids using the same plate at meal times. Old saying says, It will make both hearts grow fonder' hee hee ...

On my left is RAMA DHANEE youngest nephew!

Historical Langkawi

On Good Friday (6th Apr 07), me and my family of 10, went to Langkawi! We took off by flight on Malaysia Airline and arrived Langkawi at 5.30pm due to flight delay. Our driver, Pak Lah, was there to welcome us. We headed straight to the CENTURY SURIA CONDOMINIUM where we will be staying throughout the 3 days. After 'wash up', we went out again to have dinner in a mall. The Mall looked gloomy...not many people and shopping not that great either. I only bought some clothings at REJECT SHOP. That night was rather boring. Everyone slept early to get ready for the next day acitivity.

Breakfast (7th Apr 07) wasn't great. Mom was pulling a long face! Well we actually stayed in an apartment which provided basic breakfasts only. Mom is used to have buffet spread each time she went for holiday. She insisted to change to a hotel but was stopped by my elder brother, Izad. Just looked at MOM's boring face hee hee.
After breakfast, we went to NUSANTARA to buy some 'gamat'. There are many other GAMAT 'factory' but NUSANTARA is the most popular one. It is located by the main road going towards Kuah Town. Here you can find all kinds of Gamat stuffs like balm, oil, soap, water etc....I bought many of the gamat oils and balms as souvenirs.

Then we headed off to Makam Mahsuri. I was really looking forward to visit Makam Mahsuri but my trip there wasn't a pleasant one! I request to see the Manager to ask for 'Travel Agent' rates but the lady staff made me went from one places to another and worst i had to make an international call from my mobile to look for the Manager! She didn't even bother or offer further help except repeatedly asking me to call her Manager myself cos she couldn't locate him! Ridiculous right! And my 2nd bro who is a malaysian (S'pore PR) and supposed to be entitled to 'local' entrance fees but was denied! Just bcos he didn't bring his 'MY CARD'. Despite showing his passport, he was still denied! To cut it short, the staffs at Makam Mahsuri were in exprienced and unfriendly. I just wonder how these people can ever work in a travel related industry when they can't even smile and handle simple counter job! Mind you, Malaysia's government is strongly promoting VISIT MALAYSIA YEAR 2007 but yet 'these' people spoilt the image! Had Zakki not stopped me, i would have turned sacarstic! Hmmm maybe bcos i work in travel industry thus i expect the same services i rendered to my customers LOL.

Next we headed to UNDERWATER WORLD! The weather was hot and sunny. At the sametime, at Pantai Cenang there was a WATER CARNIVAL. Hmmm infact i had planned a surprised birthday party for my 2nd bro, Fendy. He turned 32 on 5th April! It was kept a secret from him and his wife! Haizul and Salina from UNDERWATER WORLD has been very kind in planning this party for me. I met them at the entrance and discuss a lil of the surprise party. And best of all, Salina was with us throughout the tour...we felt like VIPs heehee....Then i was signalled that the PENGUIN MASCOT was waiting at the corner to surprise my brother with a birthday cake! But suddenly, my sis in law, Kak Pah out of the blue shouted to my bro, 'Hei look its yr name at the banner!'......Gosh....but luckily, my bro 'catch' no balls of what she had shouted....cos i quickly pulled her aside. Hee hee...she almost foiled my plan.....And finally yes...my bro was indeed surprised and maybe he was shy too...I was glad that everything went smoothly....We were served with Fish & Chips, Chicken Chop, peanuts, popcorn, drinks etc....and voila there were 2 cakes for my bro! And he received a surprised bday gift compliments by UNDERWATER WORLD. Thumbs Up to Salinah, Haizul and the rest of the staffs who had helped to arrange for the birthday party. And hope my Bro was happy with the arrangements. Muakzsss....!!!
Next, we went to Lagenda Malacca, Dataran Lang, a shopping centre (which i forget the name) and finally to pasar malam. Great! We bought laksa. So cheap! Cost RM2.50 only. Cheapest in Kuah Town! Mommy bought durian as well. We smuggled it into the hotel hee hee ...Yummy!
It was a 'wrap' of the day. We went back to hotel and the kids went for a dip in the pool.
That night we slept late. Talked about family affairs...
8th April 07, final day...last 'torturing' bfast for MOM hee hee....After bfast we went to TASIK DAYANG BUNTING! The boat ride was fun! The kiddos except Yasmin liked it. But wow... the view was magnificent...mesmerizing. I love the tranquility surrounding me at that moment. The air was fresh! We were the first to arrive. Taking a slow walk up to the steps leading to the "lake". Oh boy, the steps were steeped and very tiring! Not recommended for faint heart, weak knees or asthmatic people LOL! Poor MOM braved through the steps and my Lil Princess, Yasmin was a good hiker as well! She refused to be carry. She climbed up the steps pridefully! U go girl! Finally we arrived at the lake....trust me....it was superb...quiet...only sounds of birds...! We rented 5 'solar boat' and 'ventured' the lake by ourselves. The water wasn't clear and there were no fishes to feed. We actually bought bread to feed the fishes but was told the 'pond' was 'closed' for good! Sigh! Suddenly while we were enjoying the 'boat ride', Zakki heard noises near the river bank and shouted to Ammar who was near to us that there were monkeys on the nearby trees. But the noise got louder and we heard a loud SPLASH within seconds. Gosh...one of the tree had actually fell off and it happened few metres away from where Ammar was! Btw, Ammar took the same boat ride with Fendy. It definitely scared me out of my wits! What if the tree had hit the boat which Ammar was on! Without hesitation, i shouted at Ammar to turned back to the shore. I was trembling. Mom was worst! She doesn't want to stay any longer! She said, the spirits at Tasik Dayang Bunting might not be happy or maybe Ammar must have been too talkative hee hee...

After the boat trip, we went for a last minute shopping at the Duty Free Shopping Mall. Actually nothing cheap...almost the same price as in Singapore. Better to shop at Malacca hee hee! After that we headed off to airport! We were early and so had our lunch at the cafe. As usual, Yasmin was hyper active and once onboard the flight, she dozed off...in team was Zakki of course...the sleepy heads! Hee hee my chance to savour on her 'Kids' Meal'...yummy!

Father's Day

This year we decided to celebrate Father's Day by going for a short holiday in Malaysia. Together with us were Zuraini, his lovely wife, Sue and their cute daughter, Tiara. Not forgetting were Salim and his families as well. The weather wasn't good but we decided to take the chance. Yes! We went to Sunway Lagoon! We spent almost a good 6 hours at the Wet & dry Themeparks!

But Yasmin wasn't in her good mood on that day at the Dry Themepark. She was scared of the heights and the loud noise of those rides. She clung to Zakki like a Koala bear and refused to let go. So in the end, only Ammar and Zuraini's family enjoyed the rides while me, Zakki and Yasmin sat on the bench!

Then we went to Pyramid Shopping Centre before driving off to De Colmar Tropicale @ Bt Tinggi for a night stay. With the traffic jam, it took almost 2 hours to arrive there! Yasmin and Ammar slept soundly in the car. Guessed they must be too tired with the afternoon activities at Sunway Lagoon. The roads were winding and dimly lighted but alhamdullilah we arrived safely at 9pm. We had our dinner first and checked in later. That night all of us slept early especially Zakki cos he drove long hours.

The next morning (16th Jun 07) , after breakfast, we packed our luggage and checked out at 12 noon. We visited Japanese Garden and the Rabbit's Park. The sceneries at Japanese garden were beautiful with lushes of greeneries and we enjoyed fresh air!

Next we went to the Rabbit Park. The children were very excited! There were so many rabbits for them to feed. It was Yasmin's first encounter with a rabbit but she wasn't scared at all. Infact she actually forced the food into the rabbit's nose when it refused to eat hee hee...she's really a lil monster!

Since the weather in KL wasn't good, we decided to head off to Port Dickson. Both me and Ammar were disappointed cos Ammar really wanted to go to Cosmo World Themepark and me...to KLCC for shopping...sigh....And worst, i couldn't meet my cousin who stayed in KL as well.

The traffic to PD was slow cos there was a traffic jam caused by an accident. It was almost 5pm and we started to feel hungry! Finally at 6pm, we arrived PORT DICKSON LEGEND WATER CHALET. It was my 2nd time in this hotel cos i really love the room, the service and breakfast buffet spread! I went to the reception to check in but was told there was no booking made for me! Oh dear, Mr Tan, the sales person had wrongly booked my checked in date. Thanks to Nura Dilla, the Front Office staff, had managed to secure two rooms for me! Phew.... !

We decided to go for dinner at 7.30pm...our stomaches were growling protesting for food! We had seafood dinner! We had prawns, crab, fish etc and we even packed food to eat at the hotel room. We never had enough...just too hungry! But poor Tiara vomitted her food again.

The next morning (17th June 2007) after breakfast, we rested awhile before checked out at 1pm. From there we went to Ostrich Farm. It was another sunny day! Here in Ostrich Farm, you can find birds, monkeys, horses, reptilias, etc...The kiddos were very happy cos they had hands on with the animals in here! It was really an eye opener for them.

We then 'shoot' off to the the beach for lunch and bought souvenirs before going back home! I love the 'nasi goreng kampong'.

AMMAR'S CIRCUMCISION

On Friday,1st June 2007, Ammar was circumcised at KK Hospital. Zakki droved us there and went back home. He had just finished his night shift and so needed rest. I knew Ammar was freaking scared cos his hands were cold when i held him. Hmmm....sorry Ammar...you have to go through this once in your life hee hee. There were many boys due to circumcised on that day as well. I tried to console Ammar but it didn't worked. Instead he 'wept' quietly by my side. It didn't bother him if other boys were looking at him either hee hee. After registration, Ammar was asked to change to a 'blue robe' and was briefed about the whole procedure by a 'counsellor'. And again he cried sigh....He really was freaking scared! Everything went well until when he was asked if he had taken any food after 8am? Well...i did gave him a 'gummy' knowingly he had to fast from 8am onwards. But Ammar was so hungry and thirsty and thought a small 'gummy' would be harmless. Boy i was wrong! Ammar had to be on totally empty stomach 6 hours before the surgery. This is to avoid complications like choking should he cough during surgery. And bcos of my 'silly' act, Ammar's surgery had to be postponed from 12noon to 3pm!

I had no choice but to call my MOM to come over to KK cos i need to eat. I ate nothing since morning and I can't leave Ammar alone so someone has to take care of him. It was raining heavily but MOM came with Yasmin. Can you see her happy face? She was just too happy to accompany Ammar hee hee.

Finally at 3pm, Ammar had his surgery. It took only 15 minutes before he was wheeled to the Recovery Room. He woked up at 4pm feeling groggy. He was given a muffin and a hot milo. Well he has to 'pee' before he was allowed to go home. I was also briefed by the nurse about taking care of the 'wound'. I almost fainted when i saw Ammar's new 'lil bro'. It was red and raw...eeeee...aarrgghh.....I shall leave it to my parents to take care of it LOL.
The next day on Sat, 2nd June 07, we held a thanks giving for Ammar. Relatives and friends came to give Ammar their best wishes.

Me and Zakki were really busy on that day. Lunch was supposed to start at 1pm but our guests came as early as 12noon! And disappointingly even by 1pm the food were not ready. Infact so many things happened that very morning. I don't know what happened but it seemed zakki's aunt whom we paid for her catering service was 'delayed' in so many things. Thank god my decision to rent the 'play-rides' made most parents happy! Just looked at Yasmin and the child guests!

On that day, i was re-united with Sharifah Saniyah. We lost touch for almost 19 years. Really happy to see her again after so long.

Last but not least, me and Zakki would like to thank both of our families and relatives who had helped us in making the Thanks Giving a successful one.

LOVE AND BETRAYAL

Dedication To My Friends Who Are Single Parents !

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE ! YOU GO GIRL !

P.s : I felt your pain and penned it down in my poem. It was my first try tho. Always believe in yourself despite the endless obstacles that you have to go through in your life.

LOVE IS FORSAKEN.
BECAUSE YOU'RE MISTAKEN.
GONE WAS OUR LOVE.
SENT BY THE ABOVE.
LEFT NOW ARE THE FEARS.
OF PAIN, LONELINESS AND TEARS.
HURT BY YOUR BETRAYAL.
LEAVING ME IN DEEP DENIAL.
HATE ME NOT FOR THE PAST.
REMEMBER ME GOOD FOR THE TIME LAST.
